We Got the Drill Hall!
I can hardly believe I get to write this.
After more than a year of prayer, conversations, prophetic promises, and more than a few coffees… it’s official: Lifespring Church now owns the Drill Hall in Horsham.
Yep. That big old historic building in the heart of our town, the one with all the character and creaky floors, is now in our hands, and in God’s plans. 🙌
A Prophetic Promise, A Public Press Release
Back in 2024, God spoke to us clearly through Isaiah 58:12:
“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins, and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”
We’ve prayed that verse. Declared it. Built plans around it. And now, over a year on, Horsham District Council have basically paraphrased it in their press release! Go ahead, read it for yourself here. They describe us as safeguarding the hall, restoring it in phases, and creating a sustainable hub for the whole community. Sound familiar?
God’s Word doesn’t return void, it shows up in planning documents and news headlines.
A Space for the Town, A Home for Hope
This isn’t about bricks and mortar. This is about mission.
The Drill Hall will become a home for the hurting, a launchpad for youth revival, a beacon of beauty in brokenness, and a hub for community and creativity as well as a home for Lifespring church. We’re dreaming of youth gatherings, toddler groups, food support, courses that transform lives, worship that shakes walls, and coffee that flows like the Jordan.
Thank You, Jesus
We’re overwhelmed with thankfulness. This is more than a good idea. This is a God story.
To those who’ve prayed, given, served, or simply believed … Thank you.
To Jos, who has worked so hard and no doubt banged his head against many brick walls along the way - Thank you!
To the team at Horsham District Council … Thank you for believing in the vision.
To Jesus … Thank You for every promise fulfilled, and every foundation You’re raising up again.
This is just the beginning.
