Book Launch & Celebration Evening

Something rather special is happening on 11 April 2026, and I would love you to be part of it.

After the last couple of years living with Stage 4 cancer, writing, reflecting, praying, laughing (a lot), and learning more about the goodness of God than I ever expected, my new book The Big C in Me is finally ready.

And that feels like something worth celebrating.

So instead of quietly putting the book on a shelf somewhere, we are hosting a launch evening and celebration event where we can gather together, worship, tell the story behind the book, and most importantly celebrate what God has done and continues to do.

This will be a relaxed evening with friends, music, conversation, and a bit of storytelling along the way.

What the Evening Will Include

We have some wonderful people joining us for the night.

The evening will be hosted by Lou Fellingham, and there will be live worship from the Lifespring Worship. Singer Michaela Sargent will also be performing during the evening.

At some point Lou will sit down with me for a conversation about the journey behind the book, the reality of living with cancer, and how faith, humour, and hope have carried us through some very unexpected moments.

We will finish the evening with a Q&A session, and afterwards there will be an opportunity to pick up a copy of the book and say hello.

Why This Night Matters

This evening is about more than just launching a book.

All proceeds from the book and the event will go directly toward WayMaker’s clinic building project in Africa, helping provide healthcare access in communities that currently have very little.

So in a strange and beautiful way, something that started with a cancer diagnosis is now helping create healthcare for others.

Only God writes stories like that.

A Free Event

The event is completely free, but spaces are limited, so you will need to book a ticket.

We would love the room filled with friends, supporters, readers, and anyone curious to hear the story and up for buying a book and giving to WayMaker.

If the last few years have taught me anything, it is that life is precious, hope is real, and Jesus is still writing remarkable stories in the middle of very ordinary lives.

So come along and celebrate with us.

It is going to be a special evening.
